Pet Peeve: Stale Fridges.

You never really realize your 'pet peeves' or 'grievances' until you are fully amidst their obnoxiousness. When asked to spout out my pet peeves, I often have difficulty on the spot coming up with one, but I know I have them - quite a few of them, actually. I walked to the fridge this morning to get myself a glass of water and browse the shelves for some breakfast possibilities and discovered a hidden pet peeve there, amongst the milk and bread and butter. Stacks and stacks of to-go cartons burst from my fridge, blocking my view of anything actually edible. These Styrofoam containers not only were taking up immense amounts of space in the fridge but they also had been there for weeks and were beginning to create an undeniably unpleasant odor. I know my room mates have no intention of eating the contents of these boxes - how could they? And not only were there these cumbersome to-go boxes, but clusters of leftovers in Tupperware were amidst them too. Peering inside through the cloudy plastic, I noticed most of the contents were beginning to grow 'things' as well - unless my roommates enjoy eating fuzzy, green things. Their cartons of milk and cheese had expired, long ago, and I discovered a mushy apple rolling about in the bottom of the drawer. With a vengeance, I violently threw every last disgusting piece of moldy, odorous food in the trash. Not so hard, is it? But needless to say, I've now lost my appetite.
